These Terms of Service govern use of Tourism Juneau, an independent informational travel guide operated by The Travel Spark Company LLC. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Independent informational service
Tourism Juneau is not a governmental agency, official tourism authority, emergency service, park agency, cultural institution, transport operator, tour operator, travel agent, lodging provider, or booking provider. Names, places, public bodies, institutions, operators, products, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. A reference, photograph, link, or route does not imply endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, or official status.
No real-time or professional assurance
Destination information is provided for general planning. Weather, trail conditions, glacier views, access, transport, schedules, prices, availability, laws, safety requirements, and operator terms can change. The site does not provide emergency, legal, medical, financial, environmental, navigation, or professional advice. Confirm important details with the responsible authority or provider before relying on them.
Provider and affiliate material
TravelSpark, Viator, hotel providers, and other services may supply product facts, photos, ratings, reviews, availability, prices, search results, and sponsored links. That material remains provider controlled. Tourism Juneau does not guarantee its completeness or current accuracy and is not a party to a booking unless a separate checkout expressly says otherwise. Review the provider’s own terms, cancellation rules, accessibility information, privacy policy, taxes, fees, and final price before purchase.
Use of the site
You may use the site for lawful personal planning and ordinary reference. You may not interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, overload services, misuse automated access, evade access controls, misrepresent affiliation, infringe rights, or use the site to harm another person or system.
Intellectual property and licenses
The Tourism Juneau identity, original writing, layout, and theme presentation are protected to the extent allowed by law. Some photographs and third-party materials are used under their own licenses and attributions; those terms continue to apply. You may not remove attribution, imply ownership, or reuse protected material beyond permission or applicable law. Public facts and government works may have different status from the site’s selection, wording, and presentation.
Cultural material
Lingít, Haida, and Tsimshian art, language, names, stories, regalia, ceremony, clan property, and cultural expressions require context, attribution, and source-specific permission. Appearance on or near a public destination does not make cultural material free to copy, remix, sell, or use as decoration. Follow the guidance of the relevant Native-led institution, artist, community, or rights holder.
Submissions and communications
The theme-controlled Contact and newsletter fields are inactive and submit nothing. Do not use them for urgent or confidential information. If an owner later enables a communication feature, additional terms and privacy information may apply. No automated success message should be treated as proof of delivery unless the authorized path has been verified.
Third-party sites
Links may lead to sites not controlled by Tourism Juneau. The operator is responsible for its own content, security, availability, accessibility, transactions, and policies. Use of an external site is at your own discretion and subject to its terms.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, completeness, or current availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Travel Spark Company LLC and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of opportunity, travel disruption, booking loss, or reliance on changing destination information. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited only as permitted by law.
Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold the operator harmless from claims, losses, or expenses arising from unlawful misuse of the site, infringement of another person’s rights, malicious activity, or a material breach of these Terms. This provision does not apply where prohibited.
Changes, suspension, and termination
The operator may correct, update, suspend, or discontinue site content or functionality. These Terms may be revised when the service or legal requirements change. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance only to the extent allowed by law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where The Travel Spark Company LLC is organized, without naming or incorporating a different jurisdiction through this sentence and without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections and venue rules may still apply. Before formal proceedings, the parties should attempt a good-faith informal resolution through a verified contact method once one is configured.
Severability and entire agreement
If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will continue. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any provider-specific transaction terms, form the applicable agreement concerning use of this informational site.
